Safeguarding

The school takes its duty to protect children from harm very seriously. All staff receive regular training around safeguarding and child protection issues. All staff and volunteers have the correct vetting procedures in place.

Ms Fraser, Ms Blackburn and Miss Burke are the Designated Safeguarding Leads within Berry Brow.

Ms Claire McCartney is the Governor with responsibility for safeguarding.

Please refer to our Federation Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy 2022 - 23 for information relating to our policies and procedures. The policy is an adopted Local Authority policy and the final pages contain contact details of the many local and national agencies we work with. The policy includes the statutory advice issued to schools called "Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2022"

The following policies and guidance show how our school works to support your children and keep them safe when they are in school. There is also good advice about parenting to keep children safe too.
