In our Nursery class (Butterflies) we now offer both 15 hour and 30 hour funded and paid places. We also offer wrap around care both before and after school. 

 

Children can join our Nursery from the term following their 3rd birthday. 

 

All children over the age of 3 are entitled to 15 hours of childcare (known as the Universal Offer).  In addition, some families may be entitled to an additional 15 hours (known as the Extended Offer), providing they meet the Government's eligibility criteria.

30 Hours Free Early Education and Childcare

 

What is 30 hours free early education and childcare? All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early education. From September 2017 an additional 15 hours of free childcare available for families that meet the government’s eligibility criteria:-

  • Both parents are working or the sole parent in a lone parent family is working
  • Each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours on National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage (at least £115), and less than £100,000 a year. (Note parents do not have to be working 16 hours)

Registration for Nursery places should be made directly with school – you can apply at any time and children can start when they are 3 in September, January and April (depending on their date of birth).  Please contact the office for further information or follow the link below for an application form. 
 

If you know any families who may not be aware of the fact that we have a nursery within the school please can you help spread the word?  
 

If you are not entitled to the 30 hours free childcare you can have up to 30 hours of quality care for a small charge top up fee, on top of your 15 hours free entitlement – For more information on prices please contact the school office.
